2015 was, well, something. It was a huge year of transition for me. I graduated college. I moved to Baltimore. My Dad moved away to Puerto Rico. Casey moved away to Georgia. Laura is still in Miami. We’re all over the place and nowhere all at the same time. Transitioning from being a full-time student (aka what I’ve been doing for the last 22 years because I’ve been learning since birth) to being in the “real world” has been an experience to say the least. Let’s look at this year in review…
I wrapped up my finals at Princeton and then visited Chile with my Dad for Dane and Carolina’s Wedding just outside of Santiago.
What a busy month! Casey and I had Infantry Ball, then Valentine’s Day, then 100th night three weekends in a row!
I spent Spring Break in Connecticut wtih Casey and competed in the Miss New Jersey International Pageant.
I submitted my 110 page senior thesis and it was a huge deal.
I got to watch Casey graduate from West Point and commission into the Army. We ended the month with Carol and Kiko’s wedding #CarolandKiko.
I graduated from college, said goodbye to Princeton as an alumna for the first time, went to Florida for the Childers Wedding (my first military wedding #CheerstotheChilders), shared my 22nd birthday with Father’s Day, and celebrated Casey’s 22nd birthday from afar!
I attended #VFAbootcamp at Brown and snuck a last couple of visits to Casey before he moved to Fort Benning.
I visited Fort Benning and then visited Dane and Carolina in Hawaii. At the end of the month, I moved to Baltimore and started working at Allovue!
I got to watch my Dad officiate Keath and Sarah’s Wedding (and hug him for the first time since he moved to Puerto Rico)! #keathandpixie At the end of the month, I headed down to Fort Benning for Casey’s 8-hour Darby pass (the things we do for love, guys).
I worked a lot of Weddings and other catering gigs. Actually, every weekend. The extra money was nice. Here’s a taste. #sierakogoestalerico #DCmash ##higinbothomwedding
I ran a 10K before getting to pin Casey’s Ranger tab on him and spend some time at Fort Benning. We got to get together again for Thanksgiving with his Dad’s family in Illinois.
We attended Army-Navy (so close!) for the third year in a row and celebrated our second anniversary. Casey came to visit Baltimore for the first time! We celebrated Christmas Eve with Casey’s mom’s family and Christmas Day with my godparents.
