I received free clothes in exchange for this post. Thanks for supporting the brands that support Burke Does.
I travel a lot. I want clothes that are comfortable to travel in, but also polished enough meet a client in. Basically, I want clothes that I’m going to feel good in, no matter what situation I’m in. Enter: LuLaRoe. Sold by individual distributors, LuLaRoe is high-quality affordable clothes. They’re best known for their bold, unique patterns and clothes that look great on any body type!
When I met with Sabrina, she and I brainstormed what my use-cases were. I needed clothes that would let me travel without changing in the airport right after landing. We set out to pick 10 capsule items that would create 7 outfits perfect for traveling but still look polished enough for the office. The pieces featured are: Cassie skirt in blue pattern, Irma tunic, Cassie skirt in paisley pattern, Julia dress in blue pattern, one-size leggings in red, Joy vest in mustard yellow, Madison skirt in blue, Carly dress in yellow, and Classic Tee in blue.
I had heard great things about the texture of their clothing (some LLR Addicts call the leggings “buttery smooth”) so I was excited to try them for myself. And I have to agree! The leggings especially were incredibly soft and comfortable. They’re the perfect thickness– not so thick I would be hot while wearing them, but just thick enough to hide the trouble spots most of us ladies have (like the back of the thighs.)
Two of my favorite pieces were the Cassie skirt and the Julia dress. The Cassie is a pencil skirt, but unlike a typical pencil skirt, the waistband is actually flattering. You can also adjust the length of your Cassie by rolling the waistband up or down. The Cassie skirt can also be worn as a scarf! The Julia is a form-fitting dress with sleeves that also looks amazing on any body type! It’s tight enough so it doesn’t look like you’re wearing a muu-muu, but doesn’t cause any weird lumps or bumps.
I felt amazing in my new LuLaRoe outfits, and I can truly see myself wearing them for nearly every occasion. They’re comfy enough that I can wear them on a plane or when I’m working from home, but still cute enough that I can wear them out to eat with friends or at a client meeting. The fabric of most of their clothing doesn’t wrinkle easily, so I know they’ll still look great when I pull them out of my suitcase.
One thing that makes LuLaRoe unique is the limited number of prints they offer. They only make 1,000 pieces of each printed item, so if you see a print you love, act fast! Each consultant has a different selection of inventory with no control over which prints she is offered, so you don’t have to worry about everyone wearing what you’re seeing with Sabrina! Popular prints are called unicorns because they’re so hard to find, and some of them sell online at sites like eBay for well over the purchase price!
Because their clothing comes in sizes ranging from XXS to 3X, so nearly every woman will be able to find clothing that fits their body size. Each piece is different, so I do recommend checking the sizing guides or asking your consultant which size you should order for your body type. Also, my consultant said the best way to wash LuLaRoe pieces is to hand wash or wash on delicate cycle (the clothing tag will have specific instructions for that piece) and to air dry. Throwing them in the dryer will ruin the softness of the fabric and boldness of the print.
So go join the Facebook group! I just ordered my very own pair of Holiday Leggings!
