Do you ever see someone’s life from the outside and ask How does she do it? When I read Laura Vanderkam’s I Know How She Does It, I got a behind-the-scenes peek into what other women’s lives were like, and it was life-changing. I had real examples of what their schedules were like!
That a-ha moment is what I’m hoping to share here. When it seems like life doesn’t have enough time for you to get your workout on, that might be true, but it could also be that you just haven’t figured out how to fit it in your schedule. Here is how, when, and what I’m doing when I’m working out. This is just one more data point for you to collect and consider.
Remember: It’s important to remember that doing something is usually better than doing nothing. It doesn’t have to be perfect. Progress is not a Straight Line.

I really feel better about Orange Theory when I start the class on the treadmills. When I don’t, I usually don’t hit my splat points (and I feel bad!). I sometimes wish I had a benchmark to compare to of “this was a workout where everyone had lower heart rates on the floor” or not. Just something to compare to.
