Another week, another series of workouts cobbled together from disparate sources! Not much to report other than staying committed to something is hard, inertia is powerful, and the end of the year is nigh.

Remember: It’s important to remember that doing something is usually better than doing nothing. It doesn’t have to be perfect. Progress is not a Straight Line.

Workout: 6:30 AM CrossFit Class (Workout Source)

STRENGTH:

Front Squats

  • 5 at 55 lbs
  • 5 at 75 lbs
  • 5 at 85 lbs
  • 5 at 105 lbs
  • 5 at 125 lbs

CONDITIONING:

  • 400m Run
  • 30 Push Presses at 55 lbs
  • 25 Wall Balls at 10 lbs
  • 400m Run
  • 20 Push Presses at 55 lbs
  • 15 Wall Balls at 10 lbs
  • 400m Run
  • 10 Push Presses at 55 lbs
  • 10 Wall Balls at 10 lbs
  • 400m Run

I finished in 21:36.

Thursday 12/6

Workout: 6:30 AM CrossFit Class (Workout Source)

STRENGTH:

Complex: Hang Power Clean + Power Clean

  • 1 at 55 lbs
  • 1 at 75 lbs
  • 1 at 85 lbs
  • 1 at 95 lbs
  • 1 at 105 lbs
  • 1 at 115 lbs
  • 1 at 120 lbs
  • 1 at 125 lbs

CONDITIONING:

10 Minute AMRAP

  • 9 Hang Power Cleans at 85 lbs
  • 8 Dumbbell Strict Presses at 20 lbs
  • 7 Box Jumps at 20 inches

I finished with 4+1.

Friday 12/7

I really wanted to watch the Dubai CrossFit Championship (the first sanctioned qualifier) so I stayed home and rode the assault bike for 20 minutes while watching! It might not be the best workout, but it’s still a workout.

Saturday 12/8

We went to the Fitness Center instead of OTF over the weekend.

STRENGTH:

Bench Press:

  • 6 sets of 10 at 65 lbs
  • 2 sets of 10 at 55 lbs

CONDITIONING:

2 mile run on the treadmill, followed by elliptical cool down.
