When I was in college, I watched the news every day- not just every day, but twice a day every day. I woke and watched the news while I worked out of my dorm. I almost never left until after the morning news were well over.
At the end of the day, I got home pretty early because I was SWUG and I had a thesis to write. As I sat there and did my homework, I’d have the TV on. When the 10 PM news came on it indicated to me that it was time to wind-down and stop writing. I transitioned from working to getting ready for bed.
When I watched the news every day, I felt like I knew what was going on. Now that we don’t have cable at the apartment, the only TV I really watch is Netflix.
All of this is to say that, no news story struck me because, well, I didn’t watch the news.
So heading into this month’s what would you do, I decided I wanted to keep it on task with my form of self-reflection and pushing myself to be better that has taken place so far this month. I chose to try out an educational app that has been all over my feed lately called Duolingo that I saw on this pin.
I’m only a couple of days into using it, but so far so good! I can’t wait to keep progressing through the app and reaching my 100% goals. I love how it takes the approach of slow and steady wins the race. You can’t learn a language overnight, but learning it a little bit each day helps solidify it as an actually learnt topic- not just a cramming session.
What would you do with a pin on pinterest?
