Happy Happy Saturday! I’M RUNNING A HALF MARATHON TODAY. Don’t ask me what kind of idea this one. It was self-loathing meets impulse, for sure. Like most mornings, I’ve got some Blue Lady Black from Zest Tea in my mug. There is nothing like this cup of tea to get me going.

I thought for this month’s Saturday Morning Tea, I’d do a bit of Currently. Let me in the comments what you’re up to!

Wearing

I wear three kinds of outfits: workout clothes, my fall “startup uniform,” and adult clothes.

Workout Clothes => These Zyia Leggings are still my favorite nearly a year later.

My fall “startup uniform” => There’s this stereotype of the nerdy dudes who work in tech who wear a tech t-shirt, tech hoodie, and jeans every day. In my case, it’s a tech t-shirt, LuLaRoe leggings (the softest in the world), and a sweater. It’s so easy to come home from the gym, shower, and change into comfy. I’ve been trying to avoid the “too comfy” trap by leveraging my standing desk a little more.

Adult Clothes => Jeans and things. The weather is confusing right now. Is it hot? Is it cold? 🤷‍♀️

By the way, we were tourists for Halloween.

Collecting

ALL THE WEDDING DECORATIONS. I’ve been ordering all the odds and ends we need and they’ve been slowly taking up more and more of a corner in my office. Last weekend, I ordered sparklers, the flower girl basket, ring bearer sign, welcome sign, pew decorations, dinner menus, seating cards, table numbers, guest book sign, and the gifts and cards sign.

I still have one more paper good (programs!) to order before shifting my focus to the rehearsal dinner. THREE WEEKS.

Making

My CrossFit scraper into a CLI.

I shared my CrossFit games metrics scraper last month. I’ve been talking to the folks over at The Morning Chalk Up about making it more useful for anyone interested in using it. Part of that involves polishing and grooming (Issues 5, 6, 7, 9), making it more PEP8 (Issue 10), making it into a CLI (like the original inspiration), and actually getting started on some analysis. If someone wants to know more about what this and/or how it works, let me know. 😃

Taking

ALL the notes.

I was in a conversation with someone recently where he turned to me and asked if I remembered something about a previous conversation. I hadn’t but I had it written down in my Bullet Journal. The one thing I love about taking notes (which I always do) is that even if I don’t need to reference them ever, because they’re there I don’t need to store that information in my head. Brain freedom is wonderful.

Planning

A wedding. Duh. JK, it’s mostly planned. Just finalizing details at this point.

I am already thinking about slimming down some of my focuses and thinking about what comes next and how I’m going to need to really prioritize to catch up on the things in life that I’ve been putting off for too long.
