July’s Reflection

Time during a pandemic is weird. It feels like the eleventy-fifth day of March and the end of 2020 at the same time. It’s been easiest, at least right now, to time the months, but with the weeks certainly blurr together. I have to do better about transitioning my weekends. July started with my younger sister visiting. We got massages and mani/pedis. After she left, I had my 16 week week apointment. Otherwise, it was a mostly quiet month with a big focus on starting to go through the things on my before-the-baby-comes and before-we-move list.

16 Week Appointment: I had my appointment. Heart beat sounded good. I scheduled the 20 Week Anatomy Scan. Not much to report here.

Read 4 Books: I did read 4 books! They were: Maybe You Should Talk to Someone, Bad Blood, All Joy and No Fun, and The New Corner Office. This was a great month for reading!

Make 2 Open Source Contributions: I made a docs fix to dbt’s docs, but that was only 1.

Apply to grad school: I did finish applying. I finished and polished my essays, shepherded my recommendations, took the GRE, and interviewed. Now, we wait.

Finish the Wedding Photo Book: Nothing like having a baby to push you to get your wedding album done. Got this done! This was mostly done last deployment, but there were two mistakes I had never gotten around to fixing.
